While expressing widespread concerns about weather pollution, officials in health ministry said air pollution boosts respiratory and cancer illnesses

Environment Protection Agency announced that weather pollutions hugely threaten lives of our country men and warned of even severe air condition in the months ahead as long as pertinent organisations don't take it serious.

Kabul weather polluted with dust, chemical gases and other environmental factors has recently worsened the life of Kabul residents.

An Advisor to National Environment Protection Agency, Ghulam Mohammad Malekyar, said: "until spoiling sources are not controlled, the situation will begin to get catastrophic."

"Based on the statistics obtained by health ministry, respiratory diseases have tripled in most big cities in particular Kabul," said Acting Minister of Public Health.

Indra Gandhi Hospital, a government hospital located in capital's most diplomatic location, is flooded with people suffering from breath illnesses on daily basis. Doctors say majority of these illnesses are as result of a cold and bad weather conditions.

Recently the environment protection agency said in a report that around 3000 people lose their lives because of polluted weather in the country each year.
