Three coalition service members were killed on Wednesday when a roadside bomb exploded in eastern Afghanistan, International Security Assistance Force (Isaf) said on Thursday.
Isaf confirmed that three of its service members were killed in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack in the east of Afghanistan.
The nationality of the soldiers and the exact location of the incident have not been disclosed.
It comes as on Wednesday a soldier from New Zealand was shot and killed while Afghan officials were attempting to serve an arrest warrant in a compound southeast of Kabul which was suspected to house suicide bombers. A number of New Zealand Special Air Service (SAS) personnel were accompanying Afghan officials.
One other Isaf service member was killed in southern Afghanistan on Wednesday as a result of a non-battle related injury.
IEDs are widely used by Taliban militants to attack Afghan and coalition forces in different parts of Afghanistan.
There are currently more than 130,000 foreign troops in Afghanistan, including some 90,000 US forces and more than 9,500 British soldiers.
At least 463 coalition service members, most of them Americans, have been killed in Afghanistan so far this year.
The deadliest incident occurred last month when 30 US soldiers were killed in a helicopter crash in eastern Afghanistan.
