News - Afghanistan

A missile attacked on Saturday night wounded 11 Afghan civilians in eastern Maidan Wardak province, local officials said today.

The missile hit a mosque in Miran village in the district of Daimirdad, Sahidullah Sahid, a spokesman for the provincial governor, told TOLOnews.

No group including the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

Militants often fire missiles at Afghan police check points and foreign troops' bases in the province.
