At least two Afghan civilians were killed, including a woman, and four other women were injured in a missile attack in eastern Laghman province on Saturday night, local officials said.
The incident took place in Doulat Shah district when a missile was fired by insurgents into the district, provincial spokesman Sarhadi Zwak said.
He said that police have started investigating the incident.
No group, including the Taliban, has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Doulat Shah district borders with Nuristan province in which insurgents have been more active in targeting Afghan security troops.
