The commander of the North Zone Police Training Center, General Abdul Rahman Aqtash, said on Thursday that insurgents are trying to infiltrate the police.
Speaking at a graduation ceremony for more than 200 policemen, General Aqtash emphasized that the police forces are fully trained professionals who are able to face the enemies of Afghanistan.
"The insurgents have changed their tactics but we will not hire anyone not cleared by the intelligence department," General Aqtash said.
The graduates were trained in law enforcement, criminal law, neutralizing IEDs and code of conduct in two months.
Nearly 2,000 policemen, including 27 policewomen, were trained in the last year.
