Afghan snooker player Raees Khan Sindzai defeated his Hong Kong rival in the World Snooker Championship on Friday night to reach the top eight.
In last night's match, Sindzai beat his rival 5-1. He will face Thailand's top snooker player next.
Meanwhile, Nader Sultani defeated his Bulgarian rival 4-2 to enter the top 16. And Zmrai Asas, who has already made it to the top 16, will play Scotland.
The finals of the championship which has drawn around 100 players from 50 countries will be on Sunday Dec 2 at the Dedeman Princess Hotel in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Afghan Snooker Federation deputy Abdul Ghayoor told TOLOnews on Thursday that the three have a good chance of reaching the finals after solid performances in the eight-day tournament hosted by the International Billiards and Snooker Federation.
