A father who raped his own daughter was found guilty and sentenced to death by Herat provincial Appeal Court on Sunday, but the final judgement will be made by the High Court.

According to court officials, all the evidence and claims against the man are valid and he was sentenced him to death after his daughter Zahra asked for severest of punishments for her father.

An Isaf soldier has been shot dead and another has been wounded after an Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier in southern Helmand province opened fire during a verbal clash Sunday afternoon, local officials said.
