NATO's Secretary General said on Thursday that he had "full confidence" in an American general caught up in a sex scandal that has rocked the US military establishment.
Speaking at a news conference in Helsinki, Anders Fogh Rasmussen said the issue should be "handled by the American authorities," but added that General John Allen had demonstrated "outstanding leadership" while commanding ISAF (International Security Assistance Force) operations in Afghanistan.
