Afghan Parents Blame Taliban for Killing 10-Year-Old Son

Afghan parents lost their 10-year-old son in fighting have called on the Afghan warring factions to end the war and to create an opportunity for peace.

The boy, named Rohullah, was killed by the Taliban after he and his parents sent tea and fruit to the Afghan soldiers as a simple gesture of hospitality.

The Taliban has said that they will investigate the report.

Rohullah’s parents said that the incident happened on August 6.

Rohullah’s mother Masoom said that her son was killed on August 6 while he was tending the sheep.

“His whole body was bloody,” said Masooma, victim’s mother.

“He was shot and killed,” said Obaidullah, the victim’s brother.

“He had been martyred when I arrived there. The Taliban fired at me, I carried my son, bullets burned my clothes,” said Masooma.

“My son gave some fruit to the soldiers, I don’t know who reported it to them (Taliban),” said Ali Shah, the victim’s father.

The victim’s brother Obaidullah said that he saw his brother get shot.

Rohullah’s father says that the Taliban killed his son just because he showed kindness to the soldiers.

According to the statistics, the two decades of war in Afghanistan have taken 150,000 Afghan lives. Despite this, the Afghans hope that this time the talks in Doha will lead to lasting peace in the country.
