At least 6 police were wounded in a car bomb targeting a security checkpoint in Zabul province on Thursday morning, said local officials. 

The incident happened in the Noorak area in Shahoy district of the province when a car bomb targeted the checkpoint, said Hekmatullah Koshi, provincial police chief. 

He said that the Taliban has increased their attacks in the district and 15 of their fighters so far have been killed. “Clashes are still ongoing in some parts,” he said.

However, the Taliban has not yet commented about the attack.
