Mohammad Rafi Rafiq Sediqqi, a journalist and former CEO of Khurshid TV, and one other person have been reported dead, according to Khwaha Hanif Sediqqi, the district governor of Qarabagh, Kabul.  

The Interior Ministry said Sediqqi died due to “gas inhalation.” 

Qarabagh district governor said Sediqqi’s body was taken to Qarabagh district from neighboring Istalif district of Kabul on Thursday. 

He said the circumstances around the incident are not clear so far but added they may have died of gas inhalation. 

It is said that the two might have gone to Istalif at the invitation of a lawmaker.
