Mawlawi Ghulam Sakhi, imam of a mosque in Lash Juwayn district of Farah, was "shot and killed by the Taliban” in the capital of the province on Sunday night, local officials confirmed on Monday. 

The incident happened in Farah city, capital of the province after he had finished evening prayers, according to local officials. 

The officials did not provide further details about the attack. 

The Taliban has not yet commented.
