At least ten security forces members were killed and 11 others were wounded in separate attacks in Sar-e-Pul and Uruzgan provinces, local officials said.
The first incident occurred in the Gosfandi district in Sar-e-Pul province on Tuesday night, said Asadullah Khuram, a member of the provincial council, when the Taliban attacked a security outpost.
“Six Taliban were also killed in the clash,” he said.
However, the local officials and Taliban have not yet commented over the attack.
Later, at least four security force members were killed and three more were wounded in a car bomb attack on a security outpost in the city of Tarin Kot in Uruzgan province in the early hours of Wednesday morning, provincial governor Mohammad Omar Shirzad said.
