Taliban Attacks Afghan Forces Outpost in Nuristan

One policeman was killed and four more were wounded in a Taliban attack on a security outpost in Nurgaram district in Nuristan province on Tuesday night, tribal elders from the district said on Wednesday. 

The clashes started after armed Taliban attacked a security outpost in the district, the tribal elders said and warned that “if reinforcements are not sent to the area, the Taliban will take over the center of the district.” 

The tribal elders accused local officials of inattention to the security of the district. 

Local officials and the Taliban have not commented on the attack.
