3 Police Employees Killed in Paktia by Unidentified Gunmen

At least three police employees were killed by unidentified armed men in Paktia province on Tuesday morning, provincial police spokesman Mohammad Lal Amiri said.

The incident happened around 9am local time at the district 4 police headquarters in Gardez city, provincial capital, Amiri said.

“An employee, a chef and a driver were the victims of today’s attack,” he said.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to police.

However, no group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

Also on Monday, at least nine security force members were killed and four others were wounded in three incidents in Helmand, Kandahar and Kapisa province.
