At least two policemen were killed and five more were wounded in a Taliban attack in northern Baghlan province on Sunday night, provincial police spokesman Ahmad Jawid Basharat said on Monday.
The clashes started after the Taliban attacked a sugar processing factory in Baghlan-e-Markzai on Sunday night, Basharat said, adding that “the clashes continued into the early hours of Monday morning.”
“The Taliban also suffered casualties from the clashes but there is exact information yet.”
The Taliban has not yet commented on the attack.
