At least five people were killed and three more were wounded in Taliban attacks in Ghor and Prawan provinces on Wednesday evening local official and a source confirmed on Thursday.
Four people, including a government employee and three students, were killed in an attack "by Taliban" in Dawlatyar district, Ghor province, on Wednesday evening, the provincial governor Abdulzahir Faiz Zada said.
“These people had came from Kabul and wanted to go to the Lal Sarjang district of Ghor and the Taliban stopped their vehicle and killed them,” he said.
Also, a policeman was killed and three more were wounded in a Taliban attack on a security outpost in Bagram district of Parwan province on Wednesday night, a source said.
But Abdul Wasi Rahimi, a security officer in Parwan, said that one policeman was killed and two more wee wounded in the attack.
The attackers escaped from the area, he said.
Taliban has not commented on the two incidents.
