President Ashraf Ghani inaugurated the Khost Airport during his trip to the province on Saturday morning.

Ghani visited Khost province along with the First Vice President Amrullah Saleh and other high-ranking officials where he will hold talks with security officials and some residents of the province, the Presidential Palace said.

Khost Airport project costs 900 million Afs ($11 million) and it has been built based on international norms, according to officials.

The construction of the airport was started 10 years ago. The first international flight landed at the airport last month.
