Deputies for the prime minister of the Islamic Emirate met the foreign minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulaziz Kamilov, on Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries.
In a statement, the Administrative Office of the Islamic Emirate said that acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi and the acting minister of public affairs, and the acting minister of water and power were present at the meeting.
According to the statement, the deputies of the prime minister pledged to the Uzbekistan minister to provide full security for the projects launched by the Uzbekistan government in Afghanistan. They also assured Kamilov that Afghanistan soil would not be used in threats against any country.
Kamilov said his country is in talks with Europe and the US to unfreeze the assets of the people of Afghanistan, according to the statement.
