Two People Wounded In Kabul Blast: Officials

At least two people were wounded in a roadside bomb blast that occurred on Monday morning in Police District 5 of Kabul city, officials said.

Initially there was a report of no casualties, but the spokesman for the Kabul security department, General Mobin Khan, confirmed that two people were injured in the blast.

“The security is ensured for 99 percent of Kabul. The security of the journalists and the residents is ensured,” said General Mobin Khan, a spokesman for the Kabul security department.

An explosion occurred in Kabul on Saturday as well.

Kabul residents speaking to TOLOnews urged the officials of the Islamic Emirate to prevent the security incidents.

“A loud noise was heard. One individual riding a military vehicle and another who was a member of the Islamic Emirate were wounded,” said Fazal Ahmad, a witness.
“I was drinking tea when the explosion occurred. I don’t know what happened next,” said Farid, an eyewitness.

On Saturday a number of people were killed and wounded in a vehicle explosion.

The officials said that the vehicle exploded after it caught fire.

No one claimed Monday's attack.

Earlier Reuters reported that the attack on Saturday in Kabul was carried out by Daesh.
