Nationwide Distribution of Chinese Aid Begins

The Islamic Emirate has begun the transfer of aid provided by China from Kabul to the provinces.

Acting Minister of Refugee and Repatriation Khalil Rahman Haqqani pledged that the aid would be provided in a fair way to the people.

“Four organizations are involved in the process. To provide the aid fairly, a new survey will be conducted in all provinces, and everyone will receive the aid,” he said.

The aid includes winter clothes and blankets.

“At least 13 trucks are loaded, and the other trucks are getting loaded,” said Abdul Ghafor, head of a transportation company.

“I loaded blankets and jumpers and I am traveling to Logar province,” said Bilal, a driver.

According to the ministry, around 77,000 blankets and 44,000 jumpers are loaded on the trucks.

“The aid will be provided to the poor people in all provinces based on the survey,” said Mahmood al Haq Ahadi, chief of staff of the ministry.

This comes as an aid organization on Friday provided humanitarian assistance to the vulnerable people in capital Kabul.

“The aid was provided to over 700 families who are in grave need. The aid included flour, blankets and oil,” said Sayed Rohullah Mosawi, head of the organization.

International humanitarian organizations including the UN have been repeatedly warning of a severe humanitarian crisis in the country.
