The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres raised an  alarm over “risks of terrorism" as "spillover out of Afghanistan.”  

“The risks of terrorism spillover out of Afghanistan,” Guterres said, while talking At the Munich Security Conference, “as well as the alarming spread of terrorism in some African countries show how adept terrorists are at exploiting power vacuums and subverting fragile states.” 

But the Islamic Emirate has repeatedly denied the presence of foreign terrorist groups in Afghanistan.  

“The Islamic Emirate pledged that the Afghan borders will not be used against any foreign country as based on the agreement made between the Islamic Emirate and them,” said Abdul Haq Humad, a political analyst.  

More than 30 leaders attended the 58th Munich Conference.  

The conference was mainly focused on the Ukraine situation.

On the the sidelines of the Munich conference, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with the Foreign Minister of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.  

“Had a productive meeting today with Qatar’s Minister of Foreign Affairs , (Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani) where we discussed the crisis Moscow has precipitated and the urgent need for Russia to deescalate tensions. I also thanked Qatar for continued assistance with Afghanistan,” Blinken said on Twitter.  

The Iran Foreign Ministry said that the minister will meet with his Dutch and Qatari counterparts as well as the UN Secretary General to discuss the Afghan situation.
