The family of the young girl whose body was found in an alley in Dasht-e-Barchi in western Kabul city urged security agencies to identify the perpetrators of the incident.
Alem, the father, said his girl went missing last Tuesday after leaving home to go shopping. Later her body was found on Wednesday.
However, the pictures of the girl were released on Monday, showing her hands tied with rope.
“Her hands and legs were tied with rope, she was thrown on the garbage alongside the street. The residents of the area informed the Islamic Emirate and elders of the area,” said a witness and resident of the area.
“Before I reached there, the Taliban were already there, they hid the body with a scarf,” said Alem, father of the girl.
Relatives and family members of the girl say they hope the murderers will be identified and punished soon.
“The murderers of my daughter must be arrested and should be punished,” said the mother of the girl.
“She was tortured a lot, her back was wounded,” said the aunt of the girl.
Officials at the Kabul Security Department said the investigation into the incident has been started by the related security forces. “The case is under investigation, we will share with you (media) when the investigation is completed,” said Khalid Zadran, spokesman of the Kabul Security Department.
This comes as five members of a family including children and a woman were mysteriously killed in Herat province at the beginning of the current week.
