The second Deputy Prime Minister, Mullah Abdul Salam Hanafi, said that the development in residential towns in the Kabul are making good progress.

Speaking at a gathering on Saturday, Hanafi praised the Ministry of Urban Development and Land for its plans for development projects.

“The Ministry of Urban Development and Land has taken important steps to achieve its goals. We can name one of them, which is the big project of New Kabul,” he said.

The acing Minister of Urban Development and Land (MUDL) has criticized the slow progress of the implementation at the Pirozi residential town project.

“The Pirozi project was designed in 1383 (solar year) but it has yet to be realized,” he said.

The provincial heads of Ministry Urban Development and Land called on the leadership of the ministry to provide them with more funds.

“Extending the formation of the department, providing us with enough budget and giving us authority can help in the acceleration of the implementation of projects,” said Abdullah Akbari, head of the Herat department of Urban Development and Land.

The Ministry of Urban Development and Land has begun work on the Qatar, Nilabagh, and Pirozi residential towns this year.
