University Entrance Exams Thursday for All Provinces Except Kabul

The Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) said that the university examination will be held in 33 of 34 provinces on Thursday. The exam will not be held on Thursday for students in Kabul.

The MoHE said that more than 150,000 students will participate in the university entrance examination this year.

"Tomorrow, the entrance examination will be started in 33 provinces," said Ahmad Taqa, a spokesman for the MoHE.

The examination for the university entrance this year is being held after a four-month-long delay.

"Around 150,000 students will be taking the examination, of whom 115,000 will be recruited. Last year, 86,000 students were recruited," Taqa said.
Meanwhile, the students called on the Islamic Emirate to carry out a transparent examination.
"We are very for it, particularly for girls, who have lost all hopes this year,” a student said.

"We have taken special preparations. Also, if the schools are reopened for girls, we will be happy," a student said.

The number of female students is expected to be lower as girls schools beyond grade six have remained closed.
