The Presidents of Tajikistan and France in a phone conversation discussed the political, social and economic situation in Afghanistan, the office of Tajikistan’s President, Imam Ali Rahman, said in a statement.
The statement said that French President Emmanuel Macron and Rahman also discussed cooperation for peace and stability in Afghanistan.
The Islamic Emirate said that peace and stability has been ensured in Afghanistan better than before and that there is no need to be worried.
“The countries should take their responsibilities towards Afghanistan and create relations with Afghanistan and take steps, and this is important, but about the security situation, peace and stability has been ensured in the country. The whole sovereignty is under one umbrella of security,” said deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, Bilal Karimi.
Over the past 15 months, at least five major summits have been held on the situation in Afghanistan.
Political analysts said that stability in Afghanistan benefits the whole region.
“The countries and the international community and their heads know that enduring stability and security in Afghanistan are equal to security and stability in the region and world,” said Sediq Mansour Ansari, founder of the Jirga-e-Mili Afghanistan.
“Our neighbors have their own demands and interests which brings the Islamic Emirate under pressure,” said Mohammad Hassan Haqyar, a political analyst.
“It is the responsibility of the regional countries to engage with Afghanistan politically and economically, thus the interest of all countries are ensured,” said Mohammad Bashar, a political analyst.
Earlier, at a press conference welcoming Pakistan's Prime Minister, Shahbaz Sharif, Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called for the mutual cooperation for peace and stability in Afghanistan.
