3 Afghan Women on BBC List of 100 Inspiring, Influential Women

The BBC revealed its list of 100 inspiring and influential women of 2022, which included 3 Afghan women.

Fatima Amiri, Zahra Joya, and Tamana Zaryab Paryani are Afghan women on the list of 100 inspiring and influential women of 2022. The first lady of Ukraine is also on the list.

Fatima Amiri is one of the survivors of the Kaj educational attack in Kabul. She lost an eye in the attack but went on to score highly in the national kankor exam. She said that she is happy for being chosen.

"After that occurrence, and challenges that I suffered, this is the best ... thank you, I am happy about it, but this is only the start of my work," said Fatima Amiri, a student.

Zahra Joya is a journalist who started Rukhshana media.

Tamana Zaryab Paryani is an activist.

"These three women on this list are the voice of a million women that are inside Afghanistan who have lots of problems to be seen by the world," said Tafser Siyah Posh, a lecturer.
