Clashes Occur Across Durand Line at Spin Boldak

Clashes between the forces of the Islamic Emirate and Pakistan military happened along the Durand Line in Spin Boldak port, a spokesman told TOLOnews.   

Haji Zaid, a spokesman for Kandahar governors, said that one member of the Islamic Emirate was killed and 10 others were wounded in the clashes.  

Meanwhile, a source from Chaman on the other side of the Durand Line told TOLOnews that one Pakistani forces member was wounded in the fighting.  

Referring to the conflict, the Inter-Services Public Relations of Pakistan said in a statement: "6 x Civilians" were killed "with another 17 x individuals being injured."

According to the statement,  Pakistan has approached Afghan authorities in Kabul to "highlight severity of the situation" and they "demanded strict action" to prevent any such occurrences in the future.

Mawlawi Muhammad Hashim, the commander of Spin Boldak Security, said that the clash took place on Sunday afternoon.   

There are no details about the motive of the clashes as of now.   

Earlier, a source told TOLOnews that at least four people were killed and 20 others were wounded after a mortar landed near Spin Boldak gate.    

Videos seen by TOLOnews show wounded being taken to the hospital at Chaman crossing, located across the Durand Line.
