Afghan Postal Services Increase Activity, Bring in Income: Officials

Officials of the Afghan government's postal service said that the capacity of the postal services has increased, and revenue has increased as well.

The postal service's head of development and trade said they can reach one hundred countries.

“Before the Islamic Emirate we made approximately 80, 90, and 100 million Afs in income, and after the Islamic Emirate we made nearly two hundred million,” said Zabihullah Omar, head of development and trade of the postal service.

Kabul residents welcomed the capacity of the postal services and called on the Islamic Emirate to apply them to ministry functioning.

“I went from office to office to process my documents, and I was able to get my certificate sealed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” said Mustafa, a Kabul resident.

“We faced so many challenges to take our documents but today many facilities have been created so we can easily get our grades without any hassle,” said Yasra, a Kabul resident.

Telecommunication services have also been assigned to the Afghan postal service, officials said.
