The former leader of the Islamic Emirate, Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour, was remembered in a ceremony attended by senior members of the Islamic Emirate’s officials in Kabul.
On the 7th anniversary of the death of Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour, the former leader of the Islamic Emirate, the second Deputy PM Mullah Abdul Salam Hanafi said that the Islamic Emirate’s policies do not intend hostility to neighbors and world countries, but they want relations with everyone based on mutual respect.
He called on the international community to remove sanctions on Afghanistan and to implement development projects.
“In the political aspect, there were preconditions that happened during the tenure of Mullah Mansour, which was the prisoner swap between the invaders and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. The prisoner swap with the inmates in Guantánamo Bay took place with the permission of Mullah Mansour,” Hanafi said.
Speaking at the same ceremony, the acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum Shahabuddin Delawar said that no one should be arrogant due to his position and seat and that all people should see themselves in the Islamic Emirate.
“We did Jihad to satisfy Allah,” he said. "It is very arrogant to say 'I did Jihad and am a scholar of Hadith.' What are you? You are just a normal human...,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Army Staff of the Islamic Emirate’s Defense Ministry, Fasihuddin Fitrat, praised the achievements of Mullah Mansour, saying that his political understanding prevented Afghanistan from turning into a proxy war among major powers.
