Rahmatullah Rahmani, head of the university in Uruzgan, said that eleven years have passed since the establishment of the university, but it still has no building. 

Rahmatullah Rahmani said that students in the five faculties are studying in technical vocational education, and 2,000 students attend. 

“We don’t have a building in this university and these university students are studying in the education ministry building and the technical vocational education and training building,” said Rahmatullah Rahmani. 

Some students consider the lack of a building for the university and dormitory a serious challenge to their education process and they asked the authorities to address these challenges. 

“We are not able financially to rent a room and pay for our bread. The construction and cost of books is another problem,” said Abdul Bari, a student. 

“The way now is very expensive if we are provided with a dormitory that will be good for students, but now we are faced with challenges,” said Jawed Ahmad, a student. 

Meanwhile, the governor of Uruzgan province acknowledged these challenges and said that efforts are being made to address the problems. 

“To provide more facilities I will make a trip to Kabul and share these challenges with the Minister of Higher Education and PM,” said Mohammad Ali Jan Ahmad, the Governor of Uruzgan. 

Based on the information of the officials of Uruzgan province, construction work on the university began six years ago at the cost of 33 million afghani, but due to differences between the local people and the government, the construction process was stopped.
