Recently Formed Commission Stresses Need for Good Neighbor Relations: Arg

The Arg said the members of the Islamic Emirate's Political Commission emphasized the need for the Islamic Emirate's good relations with neighbor countries.

The Islamic Emirate's Political Commission is under the leadership of Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the acting prime minister of the Islamic Emirate.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Emirate's spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahid, said the current Afghan government wants Afghanistan to serve as a bridge between nations and that the Islamic Emirate bases its relations with other nations on Afghanistan's interests.

"The Islamic Emirate's policy is to have positive ties with all nations, with relations that are focused on the economy. Our contact with all countries and the world is based on the interests of our country,” Mujahid said.

"The Islamic Emirate has always emphasized that we want good relations and mutual contact with the world, especially we want a good relationship with our neighbors,” said Mohammad Hassan Haqyar, a political analyst.

It has been almost four months since the Saudi Arabian Embassy in the country was closed.

The Islamic Emirate's spokesperson said that the current government is working to resolve Saudi Arabia's worries so that it sends its diplomats back to Afghanistan.

"Normal visas for someone to go to Saudi Arabia are still not given because the Saudi embassy is closed or a part of their embassy is not active. This is related to Saudi Arabia itself, which is why they have not come to their embassy yet,” Mujahid noted.

However, a number of political experts believe that political science experts are needed to have good relations with neighbors.

"Saudi Arabia and regional and beyond-regional countries that are not in Afghanistan, their goal is to implement their political interests with the current government," said Mohammad Zalmay Afghanyar, a political analyst.

"Foreign policy and economic policy are really theoretical and academic and scientific capacities should acknowledge the country's foreign policies,” said Janat Fahim Chakari, a political analyst.

Although no country in the world has yet recognized the Islamic Emirate, some nations, including China, Russia, Turkey, Pakistan, Iran, and Qatar, have diplomatic activities in Kabul.
