Religious Scholars Call for Good Behaviour From Security Forces

The Herat Provincial Council of Religious Scholars, in a joint meeting with the security officials of Herat, asked that security forces behave well with the public and take care of their administrative work on time.

These religious scholars asked for more security in Herat province.

“You are the people who can keep your country and can provide security and make people happy, you can also destroy their rights, harass them, and make people avoid the system, because people come to you first,” said Mohammad Basir Halimi, head of the Herat Provincial Council of Religious Scholars.

According to these religious scholars, the misbehavior of government employees with people causes people to move away from the system.

“Be humble with our nation, and show good behavior with our people,” said Gulam Mohammad Mohammadi, a Herat resident.

“We told our employees to behave well with people and take care of their work,” said Mohammad Nasim Shahid Zada, head of Police District 11 in Herat city.

Residents of Herat called for better performance of security institutions in providing security and with proper treatment of the people.

“Neither the government can rule without the people, nor the people without the government, all the officials should follow good practices that they have studied in the books,” said Humayon, a Herat resident.

“Because the system is an Islamic system, they have to behave how Islam has told them," said Abdul Salam Mohammadi.
