Raffaella Iodice, the EU chargé d'affaires to Afghanistan, in a meeting with Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, the Acting Minister of Interior, emphasized the importance of peace and stability in Afghanistan.
Iodice, stressing the welfare of the country's citizens, added that Afghans need a better life in Afghanistan.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior, Haqqani assured in this meeting that the citizens of the country will have a better future under the shadow of peace and the Islamic system.
Abdul Mateen Qani, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, said: "Khalifa Saheb stated that Afghans are dignified people and under the shade of the Islamic system and enduring peace, they will have a good future, and we are also striving comprehensively in this field."
On the other hand, some political analysts say that the root of these meetings depends on addressing global concerns and the acceptance of international demands.
Salim Paigir, a political affairs expert, told TOLOnews: "For the Islamic Emirate, it is necessary to present evidence and commitments to the international community and neighbors to gain their trust."
In the past month, delegations from the United Nations, World Health Organization, International Organization for Migration, European Union, and representatives from various countries have met with officials of the Islamic Emirate and discussed various issues; however, it remains to be seen what the outcome of these visits will be for Afghanistan.
