According to the Arg, the Chinese ambassador to Kabul, Zhao Xing, during a meeting with Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the political deputy of the Prime Minister's Office, said that Beijing supports the position of the Islamic Emirate in global meetings, especially at the United Nations Security Council sessions.
The Arg wrote in a statement that the Chinese ambassador asked the political deputy of the Prime Minister’s office to participate in the Trans-Himalaya Forum in China.
Meanwhile, the political deputy of the prime minister's office reiterated that the Islamic Emirate plays an active role in the stability and progress of the region and added that the interim government acts responsibly towards its commitments.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, told TOLOnews: "The Chinese Ambassador said that his country has supported the Islamic Emirate and the stance of the Afghan people in international meetings, and during the meeting, Afghanistan has been invited to Trans-Himalaya Forum."
Meanwhile, a number of political analysts highlighted the importance of Chinese officials' interactions with the Islamic Emirate in expanding relations between Kabul and Beijing, stating that China, as one of the powerful countries in the world, can play a foundational role in addressing the current challenges of Afghanistan.
"There is no doubt that China is a powerful country and can be effective, but it cannot act alone. Therefore, it is necessary to cooperate with the Islamic Emirate, and the interim government must also consider internal cohesion and think about a new policy at the international level," Mohammad Sangar Amirzada, an international relations analyst, told TOLOnews.
"There is a council called the United Nations Security Council which has five permanent members, including China and Russia...China is exceptionally influential," said Moeen Gul Samkanai, a political analyst.
The political deputy of the prime minister's office met with the Japanese ambassador in Kabul yesterday, discussing the appointment of a special representative for Afghanistan, the relations of the Islamic Emirate with the world, and other issues, and emphasized the positive engagement of the Islamic Emirate with the international community.
