1403 Kankor Exam Dates Announced

The National Examination Authority (NEXA) announced today (Thursday) that the first phase of the 1403 Kankor exam will be held on June 6 for candidates from 16 provinces.

Abdul Baqi Haqqani, head of NExA, said at a press conference that this year's Kankor exam will be held in five phases across the country.

"We have divided the Kankor exam into five phases. This is for the convenience of the youth so that they can take the exam with confidence. In the first phase, we will conduct exams in sixteen provinces," he added.

The first phase of the Kankor exam is set to take place in the provinces of Maidan Wardak, Logar, Parwan, Kapisa, Panjshir, Ghazni, Paktika, Paktia, Kunar, Zabul, Bamyan, Samangan, Badghis, Herat, Ghor, and Nuristan.

Abdul Baqi Haqqani also mentioned that the second phase of the Kankor exam will be held on 21 and 22 of June, the third phase on the 27 and 28 of the same month, the fourth phase on the 4 of July, and the final phase, which is the miscellaneous exam, will be conducted later.

Yama Aman, Technical Advisor to NExA, said in this conference that nearly 150,000 Kankor forms have been sent to the provinces and, in total, over 75,000 candidates will be shortlisted in higher education institutions, semi-higher education, evening programs, and religious schools.

Yama Aman said: "The enrollment capacity this year, provided by the Ministry of Higher Education and related institutions to the National Examination Authority, includes about 56,900 seats in Emirate universities and around 10,450 people in evening programs at public universities."

Abdul Baqi Haqqani provided statistics that over the past year, they conducted more than 40 rounds of exams for 170,000 individuals for recruitment in government departments, resulting in the introduction and employment of 120,000 people in various agencies.

"In these 44 exams, 170,000 young people participated, and out of them, 120,000 were successful and introduced to government departments," Haqani said.

The National Examination Authority has not mentioned the participation of girls in this year's (1403) Kankor exam.
