The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said that the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) will build shelters for Afghan refugees who have returned from various countries.
Abdul Mutalib Haqqani, the spokesman for this ministry, said that Mohamed Salah Ibrahim, head of Disaster Management at QRCS, told Khalil Rahman Haqqani that the number of houses to be built and the start date of the construction will be determined after consultation with the Qatar Charity.
"Qatar Red Crescent Society will build houses for Afghan refugees, and the number of houses and the start date of construction will be decided after consultation with the Qatar Charity Fund," he said.
Some returnees from Pakistan and Iran said that they need employment opportunities and shelters within the country so that they can live in their own country instead of other countries.
Samiullah, a returnee, said: "If we are given land and shelter, no Afghan would be willing to live in foreign countries."
Ahmad Khan, another returnee, said: "We request the Islamic Emirate provides permanent shelters for returnees in addition to creating job opportunities and educating children."
Previously, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs had announced that more than 40,000 deported refugees from Pakistan have completed the necessary conditions for employment and will be hired in government and private sectors based on their educational qualifications.
