Abdul Karim Hasib, the General Director of Passports, announced the provision of facilities for passport distribution in 34 provinces of the country.
During his trip to Kandahar, Hasib stated that reports of his arrest are baseless and added that he intends to meet with the leader of the Islamic Emirate during this trip.
The General Director of Passports said: "The news of my arrest and imprisonment is completely false, and once again, I tell the malicious individuals that we are soldiers of the Islamic Emirate; we were in the past, we are now, and we will be in the future."
He mentioned that compared to the past, more facilities have been introduced in the passport distribution sector, and efforts are being made to simplify the distribution process.
Abdul Karim Hasib added: "We have increased the number of employees in 34 provinces, especially in the zones, six times compared to the Republic, and the facilities have also been increased."
Meanwhile, a number of citizens of the country have criticized the existing challenges in the passport distribution sector and have called on the authorities to create more facilities.
Khalil Ahmad, a resident of Kandahar, told TOLOnews: "There is a problem in the bank that causes delays in obtaining a passport, and if reforms are made in this area, it will be very good."
The General Director of Passports says efforts are being made to expand passport distribution sections in all provinces, including Kabul, and to speed up the service process.
