Eight People Injured in Shooting by Pakistani Soldiers in Chaman

At least eight people were injured in a shooting by Pakistani soldiers on protesters in Chaman.

Protesters said that Pakistani forces arrested nine others, including the leader of the protest, last night.

The protesters have warned that if the detained individuals are not released soon and their demands are not met, they will take more serious actions.

"Our demand is that our friends be released as soon as possible, and our demands accepted; otherwise, we will take more serious steps in Chaman, and government employees will not be able to move around," said Faizullah, a member of the Chaman protest movement.

"They attacked us, and our friends' hands and feet were broken in this attack," said Abdul Qayoom, another member of the Chaman protest movement.

The organizer of the Chaman protest movement said that unrestricted movement without a passport and visa at the Spin Boldak - Chaman crossing is one of their main demands, and they will continue their protest until this demand is addressed.

"We are holding a peaceful protest, and the government resorted to violence; however, we will not abandon our rights," said Muhammad Wali, the organizer of the Chaman protest movement.

After the attack on the members of the Chaman protest movement, meetings were held in various parts of Balochistan, and it is expected that under the leadership of Mahmood Khan Achakzai, head of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, leaders of several other parties will take action to address the demands of the Chaman protesters.
