Omari: St. Petersburg Economic Forum Fruitful for Afghanistan

Abdulmanan Omari, acting Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, said after returning from Russia that the 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum was fruitful for Afghanistan.

Omari said that representatives from various countries at the forum committed to providing employment opportunities for Afghans in their countries.

The acting Minister of Labor and Social Affairs said, "Overall, the trip was successful and significant for Afghans, especially for those seeking employment and who need job opportunities to be provided."

Abdulmanan Omari pledged that the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is committed to creating job opportunities for Afghans both inside and outside the country.

He said, "To a great extent, officials at the forum promised to establish a mechanism in the future so that our compatriots can go to foreign countries and work there."

The acting Minister of Labor and Social Affairs also mentioned that during this trip he discussed the challenges faced by Afghan migrants with representatives from various countries.

Abdulmanan Omari sais, "My expectation from all Afghans is that if, in the future, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs facilitates the opportunity to go to foreign countries, they should consider all the laws and regulations within Afghanistan and abroad."

The acting Minister of Labor and Social Affairs participated in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, held in Kazan, Russia, on June 7, representing the Islamic Emirate.
