Holding of Handicrafts and Domestic Products Exhibition in Mazar-i-Sharif

A three-day exhibition of handicrafts and domestic products named "Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi" has been held in Mazar-e-Sharif.

The purpose of this exhibition is stated to be the growth of domestic products and their introduction to the citizens.

Domestic products are displayed in 130 booths, of which about 80 booths are allocated to women.

Asadullah Asadi, head of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said: "We have around 130 booths in a hall for women and men, of which 80 booths are allocated to women and 50 booths to men."

Nooralhaadi Abu Idris, Deputy Governor of Balkh, said: "We have always told traders to come and invest in Afghanistan, establish companies and factories within Afghanistan. Wherever they are in the world, they should come. Thank God, Afghanistan is safe and secure today."

The head of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Afghanistan says they stand by the people of Afghanistan, especially the industrialists, and will have future programs to support women.

Ramin Behzad, head of the ILO in Afghanistan, said: "In the past three years, the ILO has served over 28,000 people in northern Afghanistan and has financially supported more than a hundred small, medium, and large businesses, which has led to the creation of 10,000 jobs in this region."

Participants of this exhibition find such programs beneficial for familiarizing people with domestic products and strengthening women's economic activities.

Abdul Samad Sarwari, a booth owner, said: "We are very happy with such programs because they are very useful for us and can increase people's trust in domestic companies."

Parwana Habibi, a booth owner, told TOLOnews: "Holding such exhibitions is very effective for us, and we want more exhibitions like this to be held because they are very useful for our marketing and sales."

The exhibition manager at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce says that 50 domestic and international exhibitions are planned to be held this solar year.

Khadem Mohammad Abid, the exhibition manager at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, said: "The Exhibition Directorate of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Emirate plans to hold fifty exhibitions in the year 1403. This Balkh exhibition is one example, and more exhibitions will be held. Out of these 50 exhibitions, nine will be held outside Afghanistan in countries like Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Russia, and Turkey."

According to information, the holding of exhibitions in various provinces of the country has increased in recent months, and industrialists consider it beneficial for the growth of domestic products.
