100 young people have donated blood to the blood bank at the Mirwais Regional Hospital in Kandahar.
One young man said they wanted to help patients by giving blood.
Amanullah, 27, is one of those youths who sought to give blood to sick residents.
Amanullah, a Kandahar resident, said: "It is the need of countrymen, and giving blood is the best charity."
1000cc blood was collected in Mirwais Regional Hospital and will be used for the treatment of cancer patients, gynecological patients, and injured people in traffic accidents.
"Blood in hospitals is down, so we want to give blood to countrymen so that they recover their health, and it is not important whether the patient is a man or woman," said Qudratulah, a Kandahar resident.
Nazir Hemat, a Kandahar resident, said: "We donate blood to those women and children who are suffering from blood diseases."
According to the information, the majority of patients who are in treatment at the providential hospital are children.
