Reza Amiri Moghaddam, Iran's ambassador to Islamabad, underscored the importance of strengthening the Islamic Emirate's relations with neighboring and regional countries as a pivotal step towards ensuring peace and stability in the region.

In an interview with the Pakistan Center for Research and Security Studies, Moghaddam highlighted the United States' attempts to interfere in the affairs of Afghanistan and other regional countries, urging Islamabad to resist providing any such opportunities to the US.

He emphasized the necessity of building trust between the Islamic Emirate and its neighboring and regional counterparts.

The Iranian ambassador in Islamabad said: “The Taliban should learn from their past mistakes and work to control the country. They need to create confidence in neighboring countries like Pakistan, Russia and China and cooperate with regional countries to boost trade, cultural exchange and other activities that will provide peace and security to the people of this region.”

In his remarks, the Iranian ambassador in Islamabad spoke about the US efforts to interfere in the affairs of Afghanistan and regional countries.

“The US has frozen Afghanistan's assets and will likely try to maintain a foothold in the region. Pakistan is aware of this and knows that the US cannot gain a foothold in their country, however, cooperation with regional countries is essential,” said Reza Amiri Moghaddam.

At the same time, several political analysts also consider the expansion of the Islamic Emirate's relations with regional and global countries to be beneficial for the Islamic Emirate.

Mohammad Aimal Dostyar, a political analyst, said: “First and foremost, our relations with regional countries are very important and beneficial for Afghanistan. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan should continue its relations positively with neighboring countries, even with countries around the world, as it is in the interest of Afghanistan.”

Despite some differences over water rights and border clashes between the Islamic Emirate and Iran, the Islamic Emirate has always emphasized maintaining good relations with all countries, especially neighboring countries including Iran.
