Islamic Emirate Leader Urges Afghan Unity in Eid Address

Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Islamic Emirate, urged all Afghans to put aside their differences during his Eid al-Adha prayer speech at the Eidgah Mosque in Kandahar.

In an audio recording attributed to him and obtained by TOLOnews, he compared creating discord to Pharaoh's malevolent tactics, declaring that he would not tolerate division among Afghans.

Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada said: "Brothers, accept the plague, but not disunity, because disunity is the worst disease. I do not want disunity among Afghans. If a group of people removes me, I will be happy, but I will not be happy with division among them."

In his speech, the leader of the Islamic Emirate invited people to brotherhood and unity.

He said that the current system in Afghanistan is divine and lawful.

Sheikh Hibatullah also called on the Afghan people to support the Islamic Emirate.

The leader of the Islamic Emirate did not mention the reopening of schools and universities for women in his speech.
