Passport applicants in Kabul on Tuesday once again voiced frustrations over the sluggish distribution process.
Several applicants told TOLOnews that despite registering a year ago, they still have not received their passports.
Shujauddin, one of the applicants, said: "I came at eight o'clock. Although it said to come for entry orders until eleven o'clock, at ten o'clock we were turned away. We have been standing here until now, and they told us to come back tomorrow."
Other applicants called on the Islamic Emirate to speed up the passport distribution process in Kabul.
Mohammad Rafi, a passport applicant, said: "There are many problems with passports. Our request is to make the passport distribution process a bit faster."
Sayed Mojtaba, another applicant in Kabul, said: "People should be able to get their passports within at least a month. We ask the government to pay special attention to this matter."
Despite continuous efforts, the General Directorate of Passports has not provided a response on this issue.
However, previously, the General Director of Passports, during a visit to Kandahar, said they are working to increase passport distribution sections in all provinces of the country, including Kabul, and to speed up delivery.
