Zabihullah Mujahid, head of the Islamic Emirate delegation at the third Doha meeting, said that some countries support cooperation in the economic and financial sectors with Afghanistan.
He told TOLOnews that the participants of the Doha 3 meeting supported the informational report presented by the Islamic Emirate and considered the presence of the Islamic Emirate delegation in this important meeting significant.
Mujahid said: "The meeting is proceeding well, and some countries are in favor of cooperation in the economic and financial sectors with Afghanistan."
Mujahid said there have been commitments in the meeting to the process of lifting economic and banking restrictions.
Mujahid praised the positions of Russia, China, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, the United States, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation at this meeting.
According to Mujahid, these countries have expressed commitment for economic progress in Afghanistan.
Abdul Shukor Hedayat, a political analyst, told TOLOnews about the significance of this meeting: "From a political standpoint, I consider this meeting a good prelude to the start of new diplomacy and establishing relations with the world."
Meanwhile, some economic experts believe that if economic sanctions on Afghanistan are lifted, many of the people's challenges will be resolved.
"All of Afghanistan's frozen assets and the restrictions on the banking system are detrimental to the nation, and are leading to the downfall of Afghanistan's economy," said Mohammad Nabi Afghan, an economic analyst.
Mujahid also wrote on X that on the second day of the Doha meeting there were discussions about combating drugs, the danger it poses in Afghanistan, and alternatives to poppy cultivation.
The third Doha meeting was held with the participation of representatives from 25 countries and organizations in Qatar.
