The Japanese ambassador in Kabul, in a meeting with Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, said that the participation of the Islamic Emirate in the third Doha meeting has provided better grounds for the interim government’s interaction with the world, the Arg reported.
Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, said the Doha meeting was significant and said that all the conditions and demands of the Islamic Emirate have been accepted by the United Nations.
Hamdullah Fitrat, the Deputy spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, said that the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized in this meeting that the Islamic Emirate seeks to expand interaction and relations with all countries. According to Fitrat, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir once again pledged that no one would be allowed to use Afghan soil against other countries.
Hamdullah Fitrat told TOLOnews: "The Japanese ambassador considered the Doha meeting important. He regarded the participation of the representatives of the Islamic Emirate in this meeting and the bilateral meetings as very significant in terms of interaction."
"If a common language is created between them and challenges are resolved through dialogue, in my opinion, it brings the Islamic Emirate closer to the world," Jawed Momand, a political analyst, told TOLOnews.
"Meetings around the world, at any level, are essential for the participation of the representatives of the Islamic Emirate so that they can provide clarity and explanations and shed light on the ambiguities and issues related to the Islamic Emirate," said Edris Khan Zazai, another political analyst.
The third Doha meeting on Afghanistan's situation was held last week, chaired by Rosemary DiCarlo, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and hosted by Qatar. The participants in this two-day meeting discussed lifting Afghanistan's banking restrictions and combating drugs in the country.
