Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, the acting Minister of Defense, discussed the "importance of relations between Afghanistan and Japan" during a meeting with Takayoshi Kuromiya, the Japanese ambassador to Afghanistan.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Defense, Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid mentioned that the Islamic Emirate seeks to strengthen relations with all countries.
In this meeting, the Japanese ambassador assured the provision of cooperation in the areas of health, agriculture, and education to the people of Afghanistan.
Kuromiya added: "Japan is committed to its cooperation in health, agriculture, education, and other areas for the people of Afghanistan."
According to the Ministry of Defense's statement, the Japanese ambassador praised the efforts of the Islamic Emirate in ensuring security and combating drugs.
Earlier, the Japanese Embassy in Kabul announced that Japan would provide $10 million in aid to Afghan farmers.
