Manzoor Pashteen, leader of the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM), stated at the funeral of Ghillaman Wazir, a member of PTM, that with the current policy Pakistan has towards Afghans, it is difficult to find common ground.
During the ceremony, he called on Afghans to unite and remain patient, emphasizing that they will not abandon their land at any cost and that the struggle will continue for this cause.
The leader of PTM added: "I say to the authorities in Pakistan, it is clear that things are no longer possible between us and you. The situation you have created shows that the Pashtuns are no longer with you." He addressed the attendees, saying, "Do not lose your courage. We may lose a hundred thousand lives, but we will not give up this land."
The leader of the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement held the Pakistani government responsible for the attack on Ghillaman Wazir, emphasizing that on October 11th, the joint decision of the Afghan tribal people will be revealed.
Mohammad Aslam Danishmal, a political analyst, told TOLOnews: "Distrust has arisen between the Pakistani government and the tribes, and this distrust has directly impacted the political and social situation. These people have endured much oppression and coercion, and their patience has run out."
Khair Mohammad Sultani, another political analyst, said: "This [referring to the death of Ghillaman Wazir] is a significant loss for both sides. The enemy should know that a nation that stands up with his death and raises its voice will not be silenced."
Afghans widely participated in the funeral of Ghillaman Wazir, a poet and senior member of PTM, which was held in North Waziristan.
Meanwhile, the Pakistani government has not yet commented on the circumstances of the attack on Ghillaman Wazir.
