Three New Passport Distribution Centers Opened in Kabul

The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, Abdul Salam Hanafi, said that with the opening of three new passport distribution centers in Kabul, the challenges people face in obtaining passports will be alleviated to some extent.

Hanafi, during the inauguration ceremony of these centers, added that all facilities for both women and men have been provided in the newly opened centers.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs said: "Today we are witnessing the opening of three more centers alongside the existing one. All necessary facilities for passport issuance and distribution have been considered in these centers."

Meanwhile, Mohammad Nabi Omari, the deputy minister of Interior, said that passports should not be misused and should not be obtained for fleeing the country.

Mohammad Nabi Omari added: "The world wants to take all the scientific cadres out of Afghanistan and misuse and wrongly employ them."

The General Director of Passports at this ceremony, said that with the opening of these centers, passport applicants will receive their passports within a week.

 Abdul Karim Hasib, the director of the General Directorate of Passports, added: "From here, I assure all our compatriots that in the future, they will not face any problems in the passport sector. We said yesterday that those who register weekly will get their turn within that week."

Rahmatullah Najib, the Administrative Deputy Minister of Interior, said: "To meet the people's needs, more facilities and arrangements will be provided so that the general public can easily solve their problems and obtain their passports."

According to the Passport Directorate's information, these centers have been opened in Darulaman, Qala-e-Zaman Khan, and Tangi Tarakhil in Kabul, and each center will serve 2,000 applicants daily.
